About McDonald Landrover Ltd

McDonald Landrover Ltd. and its subsidiary company McDonald Engines Ltd. is run by husband and wife team, Rupert and Joanne Astbury in Oswestry on the Welsh Border. We started in 2001 with a small parts counter serving the local people and quickly gained a reputation for being helpful, knowledgeable and cost effective.

In 2002 we out grew our then premises and moved to our current 11,000 sqft unit. It was at that time that demand for workshop facilities to run alongside the parts operation was realised. Expansion has then taken place in the following years both in numbers and areas of expertise. The main one of these was in 2004 when we started our Land Rover Engine Remanufacturing unit. Then, in line with our policy of providing the best possible service for our customers, 2008 saw the start of our online parts shop. There are currently 11 staff working at McDonald Landrover which we feel gives a good balance between being large enough to cater for anyone’s requirements but small enough to still bring that personal service which has built both the business and the reputation.

When customers visit McDonald Landrover they enter a large shop displaying some of the huge selection of parts and accessories we can provide, with a large counter manned by our friendly staff.

Using the latest Land Rover software we can quickly identify the part required by the customer and supply it from our sizeable stores.

A state of the art telephone system means that customers can quickly and efficiently speak to the right person and if they are unavailable each has a personal answer phone where you can leave a message and be assured that we will get straight back to you.

We all have a passion for Land Rovers here, owning most of the models between us and even compete in off-road trials, winch challenges and comp-safari’s in our spare time.

Our aim at McDonald Landrover is to provide a one-stop shop for Land Rovers so whatever your requirements, whether its servicing, a complete rebuild, overland preparation, parts, accessories or a reconditioned engine, we can do it!
